I have a DRT900. The spring on the end of the clutch cable broke. Is it possible to get the spring? Do I need to get the entire cable? The cable is not listed in the parts list(s).
Actually it is because it part of the control lever assembly. The spring not replaceable due to the cable design. The cable and control lever assembly is part number 532193133.
DIdn't know that...I haven't replaced that control lever myself.
But it seems a lot things nowadays are not designed to be repair friendly. Like working on UTVs where you got to take them half apart just to do what should be a simple repair.
Yes, the lever must slide on/off the end of the handle bar. I know of no "good" way to remove the hand grip. I thought I could use a heat gun to warm it up a little, but it didn't work. The grip just turned to mush. Anyway, I agree, about so many things nowadays. I have a snowblower (different brand) with the same basic design, but the spring on the end of the cable can be replaced--just the spring; not the entire cable and lever! Of course that is 20+ years old so I'm not sure what the new ones are like.

Thanks for your help. You did not tell me I also needed the hand grip. Design is retarded.
