    Question:
Bought the machine in October, so not much use til Winter stopped lawn mowing. Next Spring it wouldn't start. The carburetor was broken-supposedly because I'd not drained all the oil out of it. Only used ethanol free gas and ran it til all the gas was used up before storing for the Winter. Lowes first refused to stand by the product then did fix the carburetor.
Ran, but not very well, from June to August, then it refused to stay running. It would start and run for maybe 10 minutes, then quit. Lowes repair said the crank shaft was bent. It is my understanding that either the blade or some little bit of soft metal is supposed to break before the crank shaft. I did run over a brick-literally a brick-in the yard, but the mower continued to run after that for probably at least an hour-til I got through mowing.
Husqvarna Customer Service was incredibly rude the first time I talked to them but the guy I got the 2nd time-Gene-was very nice though unable to do anything about the problem.

It is my understanding that either the blade or some little bit of soft metal is supposed to break before the crank shaft. I did run over a brick-literally a brick-in the yard, but the mower continued to run after that for probably at least an hour-til I got through mowing.

Although that would nice that it did one of these things everytime but depending on the impact angle the flywheel shear key doesn't always shear. Your blade is probably bent even though not noted. The blade adapter can sheared and the mower still operate. This Spring I got in a Honda SP mower that ran although shaking mower heavily. The owner has hit something that bent the blade and crankshaft yet did not shear any of the shear keys. The impact even shatter the mower body at the motor mounts. End result was a totaled mower.

I can understand Husqvarna not being able to cover it by the warranty as you hitting a brick way out of Husqvarna control. And don't feel like your the only one things a like this happens to as I was mowing my lawn a few weeks ago and snag a 1/4 steel wire which brought my riding mower to a halt. When I went to remove the wire I found that someone had buried a 4 ft concrete survey marker instead disposing of it properly. I end up with a bent blade and a shattered spindle.

As for running only about 10 minutes it sound like an ignition problem.

Well I agree with you re: running over a brick and Husqvarna not replacing the mower. BUT first, I question how badly the crankshaft is bent if it continued to run-the guys that fix things for Lowe's said that and I will get another opinion. The mower ran fine for another hour. It didn't shake, nor did it shake when I tried to start it a few days later it just wouldn't run for more than 10 minutes. First, I expect that a machine that expensive can run over a brick without ruining the entire machine. Second, and most important, the machine has been a lemon from the first-the carburetor was ruined after only one month's use-and I did use ethanol free gas, after the carburetor was fixed it had to run for 10 minutes at least before it would mow without quitting. It is a cheaply made and defective machine. Certainly not worth the $400 I paid for it.

Doesn't hurt to get a second opinion as it is not vibrating I would not think the crankshaft is not bent much.

As the other problems I can't say what causing you so much problem as I prefer to put my  hands on problems like this and actually use the mower myself.

Good luck on getting things resolved.
