Service & Maintenance Question posted August 13, 2016 by David Supinski
I've had a 128LD trimmer for about 3 or 4 years and it started everyrime I used it easily. All of a sudden it stalled out one day and I can't start it again. This is what I've done to try to fix it and get it to start again:
    1. Checked spark arrestor shield. It was clear.
    2. Put in new NKG spark plug.
    3. New Air filter.
    4. New carburetors with a new primer bulb.
    5. Tested shut off switch and it tested good.
    6. Replaced gas line and fuel filter from gas tank to carburetor.
Is there anything left to replace or change? Recoil works fine at least for the moment. With all the trys to start it, that will probably break next!
Any suggestions will be appreciated. I hate to dispose of it since I just put another $50 plus into it. Thanks

I need to replace a wheel on a rear wheel drive model HU 700L. The part number according to the manual is 532 44 14-08. Will a 532 40-1273 or 1274 wheel work for this?

Service & Maintenance Question last edited February 10, 2012 by Bill Dunn
I just purchased a new Husqvarna 122HD45 hedge trimmer. The unit starts immediately with no problem, however after starting it does not appear to run in the "start throttle position" and the blades do not move. (I am familiar with Husqvarna chain saws and their start throttle position characteristics). While idling, I adjusted the throttle screw from full clockwise to full counter clockwise, with no change observed in the idle speed and the blades remain motionless. At either extreme position, the engine will die. Furthermore, I cannot get the unit to get above idle speed without manipulating the choke - that is, I have to feather the throttle while adjusting the choke on/off until the engine rpm's increase. Once running above idle speed, the trimmer runs fine at various engine speeds until I let it go back to idle. To get above idle, I must once again manipulate the choke/throttle. Any suggestions on how to resolve my throttle issue?

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 19, 2015 by Dennis Churchill
I have a 122HD45 hedge trimmer that I bought through Amazon. First time I started it up it took about 2 minutes at full throttle to get the blades to engage. the next time they engaged much sooner, and there after no more problem. What I am more worried about is that since those initial starts, it will not run more than 30 minutes at a time before having to adjust the carburetor. What happened? It was working great for the first 6 hours. Then it would start fine but as soon as you give it throttle it dies. You can do this over and over but it will not handle giving it any throttle. We took a closer look and found the fuel line was not attached to the fuel tank, we reattached it and that seems to work. and it still would only idle. We bought a carburetor adjustment tool and adjusted the carburetor. worked for 30 minutes before, once again not handling any throttle. Adjust the carburetor, and it worked! Until it was taken out in the field and used for 30 minutes. The same thing all over again. Brought it back and adjusted the carburetor. Another 30 minutes and had to adjust again. Since we live in a mountain community the need for hedge trimming doesn't exist until mid to late July. Our warrant is close to expire and I would like to resolve this before it expires.
