    Question:
Hi, I am in the process of purchasing a new Tractor. I have been looking at Husqvarna products and I am quite impressed with the features and value. I wanted something that was capable of cutting 1.3 acres twice a week plus a family member may be acquiring a neighbors house of the same so it could be up to 2.5 acres in the future. The land is a little hilly and grass is often wet and heavy. I plan to get it with the Snow Blower attachment , weights & chains. I might also decide to add a dozer blade to it later on. I also pull heavy loads at times such as a large sweeper, stumps & other misc. I was very interested in the GTH24V52LS. When I went to a nearby Husqvarna dealer the salesman steered me away from that model saying it was too much tractor for my acreage and suggested Model YTH24V42LS, same engine, smaller deck, smaller trans, smaller tires. While I appreciate Him not trying to oversell me I left puzzled. When I got home I researched further and found the GTH24V52LS had features such as 7.8 mph speed, larger fuel tank, larger deck, larger tires & other items as well. So I returned to the same dealer and salesman and I explained that I like the features on the GTH24V52LS and would like a price . Once again He tried to down sell me to the YTH24V42LS. He then told me that the GTH24V52LS is going to be under used and that parts will gel up and cause premature wear and that would not be covered under warranty. I explained to him that I have a 20 year old Murray Garden Tractor with a 46" deck and the only problem I had with that is the deck got bent up over the years of hitting stumps & roots & that I would lube the spindles every year and they have lasted all that time. So He did give me a price but now I am at a standstill because I am starting to wonder if there is a problem with this Model or if this salesman is just wants to push the other model or whatever . I am also concerned that if I did buy the GTH24V52LS and there is a problem with something this dealer is going to say it's my fault for buying too much tractor and it was under used. I am going to go to another Husqvarna dealer and see what they say because this just doesn't sound right to me. I have been an Auto/Truck mechanic for 40 years and while I do know sometimes under usage can present problems I just don't see that here. I would appreciate any help in clarifying this confusion for me.

    Thanks

    Question:
Does the GTH24V52LS tractor mower have a feature to aid it with traction on a slope? What does the ground engauging transaxle add to this tractor? Is hydro-gear more or less durable than tuff torq? Does anyone have experience with this model?
