    Question:
I have asked a question about a deck height adjustment on a Poulan Pro tractor. So far no response but I would like to extend the question to why there are no residential mowers that will cut to a height of 6 inches as commercial mowers do? If you live in an area south of a line from the Carolinas to Texas then you are aware of this mower short fall. The Poulan Pro PB301 appears to have the space above the deck to increase the cutting height but instead stops at 4 or 4 1/2 inches. Why not be the first residential mower to facilitate those of us who need a higher cut? Because the current solution is to pay 2 to 3 times the cost and buy a commercial mower that is too big and for most lawns is over-kill.

    Deck Wash Port!!!???

I just bought a PP19A42 from the local depot and read the entire care and feeding manual on the mower and it mentions a washout port (if equipped). I cannot find any PP or Husqavarna part for this mower; parts manuals have been useless. I see a 9/16 bolt on the left side/top of the deck that serves no purpose and I can only assume that it could go there. I ordered a generic wash port that is about 3/4" in diameter and would need to bored out for it to fit. Is that what I'm supposed to do or am I all jacked up?

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 18, 2011 by Walter Meyer
I just purchased a new Poulan-Pro Lawn Tractor PB195H46YT from Ace Hardware. All is fine except that I have trouble moving the blade clutch lever far enough so that the cutting blades continue to rotate.
I have less than normal strength in my hands and arms do to a previous accident injury and it takes all of my strength to fully rotate the clutch lever.
Is there a way that this mechanism can be modified to reduce the effort that is required? Maybe a less powerful spring connecting the cable to the the idler mechanism?
    Thank You

and 2nd question After removing tractor from pallet there was a small bag with 2 little screws and bolts no were in the manual can I find were they go are they extra? They are not even listed in the manual as comming with the mower.

    Lawn Tractor PB175H46YT
It is almost impossible to slide the seat back while sitting in it because it binds. It slides forward fairly easy. It slides easily both ways when not sitting it.
I have removed rhe seat, cleaned the slides and tried to lubricate with white grease without much success.
This is important because one must slide the seat fully back in order get enough clearance to get on and off of the tractor, and must slide it forward to get close enough to reach the brake when operating the tractor.
    Is there a solution?
    Thanks,

    Question:
I have a Pro 15 Rider and I see there is a power broom attachment for it. The part number is 953 53 79-01. I'm wondering if this attachement can be purchased in the USA? Specifically in Wisconsin? The dealer in Plymouth WI is telling me he does not list it as available.
