Warranty Question posted September 14, 2016 by ollie vandenberg
    Question:
I own a trimmer 128LD s/n 11115N102288, bought at Lowes. my issue is the clear plastic gas line in the gas tank has totally disintegrated. It was having issues last summer wondering why it was cutting out. so this summer I emptied the fuel tank and a bits of the tubing and filter rolled out. Can this be saved or maybe warranty I don't see the replacement part for this tubing and filter. Any advise or info would be great-frustrated, thanks.

Warranty Question posted August 11, 2016 by Yongren Zhang
    Question:
Why I have to pay labor fee and handling fee while my gas trimmer is still under warranty period with my original purchase receipt?
    Details:

I bought a 224L 4 Cycle Trimmer in June 2015 and use it for my small lawn. It costs more than $300, but I was told by Lowes that it is the best Gas Trimmer in their store and has 2 years warranty.
This Jun. 28, it just stopped running after about 5 minutes working and will not start again. I took it back to Lowes for repair, and picked it up this Jul.7, it works again, but after two weeks when I used it again, it suddenly stopped again and could not start. I took it back to Lowes, and pick itup today. But I have to pay $64.15 for labor and handling fee, even though Lowes knows this is under 2 years warranty and they have my original receipt. Lowes customer care says this $64.15 is charged by Husqvarna, not by Lowes, as Husqvarna's Warranty is a limited Warranty. Is this true? customer has to pay for the quality issue while product under warranty period in regular operation?

    Question:
I just purchased a new 128CD string trimmer. When I logged on to register my trimmer, I saw that if I had bought oil or premixed fuel at the time I purchased it, I could have extended my warranty. Since I have not used the trimmer yet, can I purchase the oil or fuel now and be granted the extended warranty??

    Question:
I purchased my 128LD from the local Lowes store last year. I used it for only one-season. Early this Spring when I tried to start it, it stalled. I had fresh fuel in the tank and changed the spark plug. I took it to the local dealer and was told the carburetor is "dirty" which is not covered by the warranty. One of the reasons I was told is due to the current mix of gas with Ethanol. I am really not happy about this. This is not my first trimmer and I never had any such problems before. One trimmer I had I used it for about ten years. I expect this 128LD at least should last about that long. Now I had it for one season and it won't work. This is poor quality product. Do you expect this trimmer works in a "clean" environment? Do you expect we use fuel other than from gas station?

    Question:
I just purchased a Husqvarna 128LD Be aware of extended warranty
    Details:
I bought a Husqvarna 128LD last Saturday at Sears Hometown Hardware. The normal stores don't stock it so after doing tons of research on trimmers this seemed to be the best value and quality for what I can afford. OK, now the problem.... Husqvarna states if I buy 96 ounces of their premixed fuel at the same time as purchasing the trimmer the warranty will be extended to four years. The store didn't have any Husqvarna fuel or oil. The salesman tried to sell me 32:1 fuel! Yesterday I bought the fuel at Lowes and I called Husqvarna customer service today, of course they won't help me. I understand to a point, I've worked retail my whole life. Now I have a brand new trimmer that I've never fired up (because I expected this) thats going back to the store. It's about 25 miles each way, so that's a lot of gas and time wasted for nothing.. ..

Warranty Question posted May 25, 2015 by Kirk Taylor
    Question:
I purchased a Husqvarna 128CD BRC Trimmer Factiry Recondition item 966441801 -R from BrandnewEngines on 4/22/2015 got it in the mail on April 28. At time the Trimmer would not start. Took it to Davis Small Engines in Burkburnett Tx on April 29 for the 30 day warranty . Upon being able to pick up the Trimmer from Davis Small Engines I was told the Muffler was full of water. Since it was shipped that way I would like to find out what I need to do to get the $19.49 back that it cost to get it fixed. Since it was a Factory Reconditioned item it had to been in contact with the water at the factory that reconditioned it. Please let me know what I need to provide you to have this happen.
    Thank you
