Thanks, Greg P.  In the interim, after I posted the question, I did get a solid answer from another dealer, and it was exactly the same one you gave, nearly word for word.  I also saw for myself what I needed to see at Lowe's, on a different brand mower, with the same brand engine as my Husqvarna.  I knew that oil drain should not be loose, even though a friend of mine has a Husqvarna mower, and her oil drain is also loose, and has been to a dealer for oil changes.  I will fix the problem myself at the next oil change, coming up soon.

I'd like to comment that so far, my Husqvarna is the best mower I've ever used.  It replaced a Toro commercial zero turn mower, more than three times as expensive, and has outperformed the Toro hands down.  There simply is no comparison.  I would recommend Husqvarna mowers (at least like the one I have) to anyone.

By the way, I'm nearly 57, and have been mowing grass since I was 10 or 11.  I think I know my mowers.
