Warranty Question last edited May 31, 2012 by Rocky Cliche in Husqvarna: Ask & Answer > Riding Lawn Mowers public
    Question:
I purchased a Husqvarna riding lawnmower about 2 ½ years ago, to replace my older model Kenmore. I have under 200 hours on the engine and have maintained it above recommendations (oil change every 30-35 hrs) to include all filters and greasing of hubs etc. The model # is YTH20K46 with a kohler 20 HP SV600S courage engine. I have contacted Lowes, Husqvarna, and Kohler this morning and everyone has advised me that it is no longer under warranty. I was cutting my yard this morning and the engine completely disintegrated and oil and metal spewed all over me causing burns to my arm and leg. I am attaching some photos of the engine parts that malfunctioned and ask you to evaluate if this is from poor maintenance (lack of oil etc.) or faulty manufacturing of a product. I believe you will concur on obvious product defect. I have owned numerous lawnmowers and never have experienced anything like this. I cannot fathom that you would do nothing about this obvious sub-standard product that you are currently selling to other customers. I plan on purchasing another lawnmower, because I do not believe this one is salvageable at this point.

    Very Respectfully
