I had the same thing happen - this is the most convoluted recoil design I have ever seen. This unit has very few hours and very dissatisfied with the performance. I actually thought I was buying quality when I purchased the 128. Reliable starting is just about one of the most important things about a piece of equipment and then I see a response about having to see a dealer for a repair because of the potential in the spring - then eliminate one and use metal parts!! Easy repair is about the second most important thing about a piece of equipment. This is what I paid for? an inferior designed product that I need to drive 30 minutes away to have it repaired!!
