Service & Maintenance Question posted January 20, 2014 by D Pizzardi in Husqvarna: Ask & Answer > Chainsaws public
    Question:
RE CS 2238S Jonsered made by Husqvarna
Bought it new, ran 100% 1st 3 hours...

Starts well but starves of fuel after 1 or 2 minutes.
and won't restart, not even fire.

Loosening the fuel tank cap, allows starting well and runs for another 1 or 2 minutes again until starving for fuel

Its obviously staving for fuel, because fuel vent is not functioning.

As it's $150 just for an estimate to repair and it can be replaced for $225 I need to repair it myself. Or ship it back as an example of a product priced so low it doesn't actually remain functional for long.

I have it stripped down to the bare powerhead. but can't locate all the fuel system vent components.

Can you email a fuel system vent diagram please?
Viewing the parts list shows the components but not their location, detail or routing.

Should I replace 545-03501 vent line, 530-029868 Vent plug, 530-026119 checkvalve ...what is your suggestion?
