"hoping to have a better experience"? Don't hold your breath. I have a 350 apart on the bench and now a 455 less than 4yrs. old that won't start. Fresh hi octane fuel, Stabil, synthetic oil and caring use. Husq. seems to be once again offering no answer beyond the ongoing excuses about ethanol. Ethanol's been around for some time now and my patience on these excuses has run out. If your product won't handle the fuel, take it off the market or remedy the problem. Purchasers at the least should have been warned that they absolutely had to buy expensive pre-mixed fuel. This is disgraceful corporate behavior- sell something and then brush off recurrent problems and offer the consumer nothing but shoddy excuses. Shame on Husqvarna.

I disagree, and besides, how does one quantify "fresh" or measure it? I have a 455 (2010) also and am infuriated by the starting problem which cropped up this spring when I need to cut some wood for heat. Yes, I use Stabil and syn. oil along with the highest octane "fresh" fuel I can find here in upstate NY. I've ordered a carb kit and hope that does it. I'm also the disgusted owner of a 350 that's been parked on my basement workbench since that piston and cyl. self destructed. Through all of this, I haven't seen any strong warnings on ethanol, which has been around long enough to at least deserve one from Husq. or a solution better than this sophmoric bromide. To add insult to expensive injury, I can't seem to find any way to order a workshop manual for the 455. This is a disgraceful way to treat your customers who try to buy quality. In case you're wondering, I take very good care of every piece of equipment I own. Oh for the days of my Homelite Superduty saw I got as a gift for opening a cd.
