    Thanks, but I've already seen the book by Brian and Jen Ruth at a couple libraries.  Amazon references a few other books, none of which is what I'm looking for.

    You're right about the manuals on the Husqvarna website -- they're concerned with using and maintaining specific models.  I think the Husqvarna book was privately published and in limited quantity.  sad

    Chainsaw standards and techniques seem to be evolving.  The book by the Ruth's (2009) and USDA online videos (2006) show a 3-cut technique.  What I was taught from the Husqvarna book and what I've seen from the Husqvarna video (2013) shows a 4-cut technique, at least for medium diameter trees.  A Stihl video shows both.
