    Of all the posts I've read, yours is the only one that shows you clearly understood the problem, and thought through a meaningful repair. Your explanation and instructions are top shelf, although it might have been nice to have pictures of your fabrications to work from.

    I'm going to be putting this into action this week. I just got a 2654 from a neighbor who gave up on it after the mounting plates broke a second time. The first time, the dealer/repair center just did a rudimentary weld job along the cracks, which was doomed to fail.
