I have the same problem, only worse.  When I first got the tiller I was already used to the shifting mechanism from having an older Craftsman model.  So I get this brand new Husqvarna and am already aware of the need to rock the tiller forward and back a little sometimes to make it shift smoothly.  However, this tiller after just a few hours of use is nearly impossible to shift.  No amount of rocking makes any difference.  Now once it warms up and has run for a half hour or so, I can't shift it at all, even with the engine off!  Last time I ran it I put it away with it in forward till and just hoped it would shift after it cooled down.  Luckily I was able to shift it the next day after much rocking and effort, without starting the engine, but this has been a problem all three times I have run it and it appears to have gotten worse.  While I'm tilling I have only been able to shift into reverse for a short time; it becomes increasingly more difficult as it runs until it becomes impossible to shift at all, running or not.
I need a REMEDY to this situation, not a suggestion that has proven worthless.  Please help!
