    No, I haven't.

So the stator, if you look at the picture above, is a big wire wound coil that is probably on the bottom of the engine.  It will spin around just as the cover on the top of the engine does.  Somewhere, connected via wire to the stator is the regulator.  The parts lists in the manual don't list a part # for the regulator, so does that mean it's not a replaceable part?  I don't know.

This is the part where the husky techs are supposed to chime in and help us out according to the 800 number.  Unfortunately that isn't happening, so we're just left floundering on our own.

It doesn't surprise me there's a draw on the battery while the unit is in operation.  The issue here is there are supposed to be 12v out, and 14v in to the battery which means when you're done running the tractor your battery should be fully charged.

The part you and I obviously have wrong is that we're not getting the 14v back into the battery while the tractor is running.  Therefore, if we run the tractor long enough it dies from a dead battery, and if we make it through without the tractor dying, it's charge level is significantly reduced requiring us to charge it before we use it next.

The stator is what generates the charge to be put back into the battery, and the regulator insures that no more than 14v is put back into the battery.

Nope, no answers from anyone.  I replaced the solenoid because one of the phone techs thought it could be that, and since it was an inexpensive repair ($27) I went that route first.

    Didn't help.

So the only things left that I can think of are the inline fuse shown in the diagram which I have yet to find, the regulator which doesn't have a part # in the manual or the stator.  I think either the regulator or stator will be an expensive fix.

Right now, we're keeping the tractor charged before and after use, but that's a short term fix.  Up north, our leaves are done and it'll sit for the winter, so we'll either just wait until spring, or take it to a shop.

Too bad about this answerarmy site,  Husky phone support really builds this up as a way to get some help, but it's really not all they are cracking it up to be....
