Hi Michael,
The Husqvarna Dealer (North Jersey Landscape Supply in Flanders, NJ) fixed the problem. They ordered new adjustable drive cables and the 1830 EXLT steers just fine. I cannot say enough good things about my dealer.

Mark,
I forgot to answer your question in my first posted reply. Answer: The triggers are impossible to squeeze when the machine is moving and blowing. If however, I release the drive handle, the triggers return to a normal and smooth operation (not springy at all)

Hi Mark,
Glad to hear from you. I think there is a solution to my problem. The latest on my 1830 EXLT....spoke with my Husqvarna Dealer/service center. After they researched the problem, they decided to take in my machine right away to adjust the power steering cables and get the machine back in one day. This is the kind of service we should expect from all Husqvarna dealers. A few hours later, they called to say the cables are not adjustable, however, adjustable cables on the way from the factory (perhaps in 4 days). It appears the manufacturer realizes there is a problem with these hydro-track-drives and they have come up with a solution. I will let you know if the solution works.
Best regards from Denville, NJ,
