    Question:
I am having a transmission slippage problem with my just purchased a HU775H/961450007 high wheel rear drive self propelled walk behind mower. Purchased from Lowes 6/14/12. I adjusted the speed control cable nut so that I am sure it is fully engaging. I even went so far that the levers could hardly be moved (and then backed off). Something in the transmission is slipping such that the lawn mower can not move when on level grass except by human power assist (me pushing). I hope there is a belt tension adjustment. Is there a differential, and could it be slipping? Mower starts fine, mows fine, makes no loading up sounds like the engine is under any additional load when transmission is engaged. If I lift the mower, rear wheels spin. On concrete, I can hold the mower back with one hand without effort. It is engaging, just slipping like crazy.
