    Question:
I have a model PP4620AVX 952802146, S/N 10179D100968-1. This was a sales award from my employer, therefor I have no purchase receipt, nor can i get one. Your warranty is for 2 years. The S/N tag on this saw has a Date of Meeting emmisions of 2010! **Therefore your S/N tag proves it's within the 2 year warranty period.** I took it to a authorized dealer and they won't honor the quarantee! It cost me $15.00 to find out the saw is unrepairable (The cost of repairs is greater than the replacement cost). I have this receipt from Paul B. Moyer in Doylestown, Pa dated 2/10 work or# 79881. I want either a replacement from your company or a voucher for the full retail price and my additional $15.00 towards a new saw. I can provide a digital picture of your S/N tag. I expect your company to do the right thing here.

    Thank You

    Hi William,

    Thank you for contacting Husqvarna.

Sorry your having trouble with your saw. Yes, the dealer needs your receipt to prove your the original owner and the date your warranty started. In certain circumstances we can make exceptions to the rule. The problem with this is your warranty is now based on the day it was made not when you got it. So you lose quite a bit of time off your warranty period. That being said not all failures are warranty. Our warranty covers failures in material and workmanship. The dealer needs to determine what caused the failure and is it warrant-able. I would be glad to talk with the dealer where you had it. I can't guarantee it's going to be covered but to repair or replace the saw we need to find the cause of failure. Have your service center contact us and we can make the determination on what course we will take.

    I hope this helps.
