The situation you have explained does not necessarily mean you are having problems. The transaxles are Hydraulic units. They move and /or gain speed by the amount of input from the drive pulley. They are static at idle and when the speed increases via the drive pulley, the pumps begin to flow more and more fluid increasing the drive speed.
There is a small adjustment if needed, but please discuss the need of adjustment with your dealer. However, if the shop said there was nothing wrong, I feel confident there is nothing wrong with your Rider 15V2.
