First have some one sit on the tractor with out it running.Push the pedal down and check the belt tension. Should have about a 1/4 play in either direction. The belt that goes on that unit is a 532130969. If anything other than that take to a dealer and have them check it out and give us a call.

If you look at some of the postings there seams to be issues with cracking and bending frames that be also be the cause of your problem. I posted a question on frame metal gauge as I have a Craftsman GT6000 with very little time that has a bent steering plate and twisted frame metal gauge 12. It looks like most the the tractors are actually made by MTD in china with thin china steel. Looks like a lot of garbage out there. I thought Husqvarna was a solution, but not after seeing all the issues with frame cracks. So much for quality products!! Plaese advise what you find to my email
