Service & Maintenance Question posted June 2, 2012 by Gordon Cerniglia
I have a Husqvarna self propelled mower model 917.375363.

This is about the front wheel drive unit. It just ate up a new belt by the front pulley near the front wheels seizing up and not rotating. When cooled down the pulley can be moved by hand but trying to operate again results in the pulley again seizing.
I have seen no info on this problem and it may be too costly.

i have just bought the basic push mower with the 149 cc Kohler engine, i followed the owners manual for start up but when I went to start it, it wouldn't start. i check the plug it is good and it seems to be getting gas, the oil is at the full mark. I tried spraying a little started fluid in it just to see if it would do anything and it started right up but it only ran till all the starter fluid ran out i was wonder if there was anything else i could check or if there was something i over looked thanks

    hi
i have a rotary lawn mower, model 917.375363
    s/n 070605M010031, i believe the unit is 6 or 7 year old.
it's used twice a month between April and October than only once a month during the off season. my problem is the deck which holds the right rear wheel is rotting out . The engine itself is in excellent condition. I change the oil once , a year. i assume the cost of the deck is as much as a new machine. what can i do? i would hate dump this in the trash and have to purchase a new machine. when the mower is not in use it's kept in a storage shed. the only way to have this repaired is to go to a machine shop and have a piece of metal welded to the deck. again the cost would be 2/3rds the cost of a new machine. i would like to know if Husqvarna stands behind this problem or do i have to climb the government ladder of consumer affairs?
    thank you
    mark

Service & Maintenance Question posted May 18, 2012 by Lenore Evermore
I just recently purchased a 7021R. While mowing, the spring (part # 532 40 96-16 Spring, Extension) flung off. I think it is just for the deck height adjustment which still works without the spring. My concern is one end of the spring is curved and the other is flat. I assume the flat end goes in the hole in the deck but I'm not sure how long it will stay there if I do put it back in since it has come out so soon. Should/could I bend it to make a smaller angle to hopefully keep it on the deck longer? And/or is it even necessary since the height adjustment seems to work without it? Thanks.

I just purchased a 6021P mower. In mulch mode, grass clippings exit the deck via the flap and collect on top of the deck. Any fix available?

recently purchased one of your push mowers and am dissatisfied with it. It is very hard to push, it stalls quite a bit and overheats and the recoil starter handle does not retract properly and hangs loose. What can be done about this hunk of junk. Have used it twice and it is no good and the lawn looks horrible.

    this was a murray
