Parts Question posted August 20, 2013 by Anthony PitilloQuestion:Hi there! I am either missing a part on my PP PR45Y22SB mower, something is loose or detached, or something is out of adjustment. I've attached a picture of the throttle/governor linkage for you to see. I recently replaced the carburetor, and everything is hooked up exactly the way I found it. Nobody else has worked on this mower since we bought it. The engine will only either not start, or will start on full throttle, but the throttle control lever (the tortoise/hare lever) does absolutely nothing to control the engine speed. When it does start, it runs well, but only at full throttle. BTW - It ran before I changed the carb, too, but not as smoothly as now. That spring in the pic is VERY small and super-light, and doesn't seem to do anything. In all of the pics I've seen of similar B&S engines, there is another, much larger spring connecting the throttle lever to the throttle body. Could this be what I need? To makes things worse, B&S's own parts diagram doesn't completely match my engine, so they were no help on the phone and couldn't give me a part number for such a spring, if it exists. My engine model number is 10G902 0260 B1. Maybe I just don't understand how this all works, but it sure seems to me that the throttle lever should move the throttle plate, eh? Ha! adjustment made. It starts fine with choke on, then the spring
return shuts the choke off and it idles. But there should be
a shift adjustment for faster speed out of idle when your
ready to cut grass. There is no levers on this mower. This
unit has the Honda Engine on it.

I purchased a Poulan Pro walk behind mower on 5/17/2016. Used it three times and then quit working. The mower stopping running and all the oil leaked out. On closer inspection, I could see there was a crack in the engine mount right below the oil chamber. I purchased it from Menard's and they sent me to a service provider who said I must have ran over something and that's it's not repairable under warranty. Basically I am out $200. I don't recall running over anything. I can't understand how this mower can be put together so cheaply that it breaks on the third use from normal use. Where can I go from here. I can't afford to purchase another mower!

Used it twice this year and the one lever height adjustment keeps jumping out, so that the mower goes to the lowest position and then I have to stop the machine and put it back in position I want. Should have taken a picture or made diagram

I have a complaint about the fact that grass builds up in the rear of the mover by the rear door at the opening for the bag. As a result of this buildup, every so often it drops a clump of grass on the lawn. After mowing it looks like the mower left piles of *** everywhere. Why can the rear door have a larger protrusion to close off this gap?
