Warranty Question posted May 6, 2015 by john rynbeekQuestion:my blower is less than 2 years old. It is registered with Husqvarna. It quit working 2 and a half weeks ago. I took it to Dave's mower shop in Winter Garden, Fl., the next day. This morning I got a call from Dave telling me it would cost more to fix than buying a new one. Seems the compression of the blower's engine was too little to properly run. I have always used the blower in accordance with instrustions, and don't believe I am in any way responsible for it's short life. Do I have any recourse?? Sincerely, John Rynbeek
P.s. Our warranty says it is covered for parts and labor for two years. Lowes and the dealer say that it is a fuel problem and not covered. We have followed the manual for gas and mixture. The dealer has said it is the gas in CA. My warranty does not state this as being a cause not covered. Your 1-800-487-5951 does not answer. It hangs up. This product should not be sold in CA. A 200.00 machine should last more than 14 months. please have someone call us from the factory support (Tom 530-343-6973) Thank you.

I noticed at home that on the box it said you can extend the standard 2 year warranty to 3 or 4 years. This required the purchase the Husqvarna premix fuel or 2 stroke oil. See Husqvarna.com for details. I have search the site and cannot find the details for extending the warranty. I did purchase the premix fuel with the blower. Any help as to where I can find this information will be appreciated.

It costs me 1100 to get it fixed. A few weeks later, my husvarna backpack blower starting leaking gas and would not start. The mechanic said it's not even worth it to fix, said it would cost 250 to fix it. Might as well buy a new one. I was hoping your company could do something for my backpack blower, as I can't afford another set back. I'm really disappointed I the longevity of your products. I was informed that if I purchased a 6 pack of Huskvana 2-stroke oil at the same time that my warranty would be extended by 3 years by Huskvarna. I found no information on this with the product. I had been told there was a form that came with the oil. What's the story? Will my warranty be extended?
