I've had better luck with my 455 Rancher. I cut about 16 cord of firewood per year and have never had it in the shop in the last ten years that I have owned it. I do strip the saw down every year and perform the owner service recommendation in the manual. I have another question posted on getting a non-recommended bar for it because I would like to cut lumber on an Alaskan Sawmill with the Rancher as well. It is too bad to hear that so many people are having issues with this saw, because I have experienced nothing but excellence from mine.
I also have a 455, I can't keep the dang thing running. I'm meticulous in its servicing and I still had to replace the piston head. My fuel was check and was correct I had the right mixture. Now its doing it again. Is there any help from husquevarna on this?
