Hi Art....I won't be as negative as I found that by using a search engine such as Google That I was able to find the manual...and what's more I was able to copy the PDF file...so for the cost of a few pages of paper and some ink I got my copy....suggest you do the same.....
Mix only the amount you plan on using for say....a weekend.....Use an additive such as "Startron" or "Stable" in your mix. DONOT leave fuel in your tools...run it dry prior to putting it away......Good luck...
Or you have a very dull chain......or...the rakers need a bit of filing......or (and this isn't meant as a joke...Have actually seen it happen)...some hockey puck put the chain on backwards when they re-assembled it.....
John...Many retailers offer service contracts that cover everything except bar and chain for various periods...Most start when the factory warranty expires...I got mine for 3 years (in addition to the factory's) for $49.99...
I just can't help myself.....I am sorry......The safest one is the one that either has no engine or the one that won't start.......You have to be smarter than ANY saw....Have fun....
Really...? Hmmm...seeing that Oregon makes the chain and bar for Husky saws (and most of the others)....I find this amusing.......and I was using Oregon chains/bars when I went to Forestry scool in the 70's.....pro's use them so why not me......Good luck......Have a great day..Oh and one other thing.....speed and duability don't always come together....sometimes we make little comprimises on one or the other to achive the Best over all results..
Did you happen to purchase the service plan when you bought it at Lowes...? I know many of these "plans" are a waste of money but for $49 it covers everything including normal wear and tear (except bar and chain) for 2 years...or $79 for 4 years......Sorry about your situation....BUT, I would strongly agree with the thought of improper fuel mixture is the culpret...
Well I got 8 "views" but noone seems to be able (or willing) to answer my question......wonder if this is a sign of things to come.....?
May I suggest that you either check with your local 4H club or even your nearest Forestry school and ask for some help.....I should mention high school students and chainsaws can be quite a risky mix......Sometimes your State Forestry office will help too....Good luck........Paul
I would suggest that you go to Oregon's web site and check with them....they make the bars and chains for about 99% of all the saws out there....Try their web.....www.oregoncuttinggear.com......good luck.....Paul
I would suggest you go to Oregon's website...as they make most of the bars and chains on probably 99% of the saws made today and ask them....Try this website... www.oregoncuttinggear.com hope this helps you out...Good luck.........Paul
