Welllll, not actually working again, still in the shop, Part supposedly came in yesterday, supposedly started installing today, supposedly will be ready sometime next week, then maybe will find out cost of repair as they say not covered by warranty. Next time will just disconnect the chain brake so I can get some work done instead of now nearly 2 weeks and counting behind on getting these trees cleared. Not impressed yet with it.
I agree, seems like they have a way of backing out of any warranty work.
Took it to the dealer, they say the transport washers were left in; odd thing is didn't see any there when I put the bar on..... nor would they have been loose when I removed the plate to be noticed. Most company use colored or cardboard washer etc, guess not in this case. Upshot is it screwed up the PLASTIC chain brake handle, NOT Covered under warranty.... chain also FUBAR.
Husqvarna really ought to look at the issue with the chain brake handle stripping, apparently a common issue and not ever covered under warranty as near as I can find....
