Good morning. I agree....I got pulverized weed whacking my hillside to the point where I think I'll have to buy one of those full face shields to provide facial protection from all the projectiles that just fly everywhere. Thank goodness I had eye protection on and long sleeves for the initial use.

I too hear that dinging sound, and agree with your thought on what it is.

It is pretty crummy to have to upgrade the guard, because this certainly was not an entry level trimmer. Think I'll try and tough it out until it gets too hot to wear long sleeves and long pants.
