I was told by a repairman that the transmission was a sealed unit and fluid could not be replaced. Is that so? Your right about the fluid not being there but he told me the pressure caused the seals to go and that was were the fluid came from. so now why did the pressure cause the seal to bust? obviously there is an issue with the transmission. New transmission is $ 1200.00 i was told. So why does two seperate mowers that are identical have the same issue go bad at the same time?
I pretty sure it is the hydro . Just can't believe this unit is only 5 years old and with 377 hrs and the transmission is going out. This is with the same model with two different units. How many others have had this problem ??
changed out the drive belt this spring. Usually do that before the season starts. Ran the mower today and it hydro stat just keeps getting worse. Also the unit leaked fluid at one time. Seems not to leak now.
