Service & Maintenance Question last edited May 9, 2015 by Kacper Kucharski in Husqvarna: Ask & Answer > Chainsaws public
    Question:
Husq 450 Chainsaw Stalls Every 5minutes (Lack of Oil)
    Details:

Bought a brand new Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw (X-TORQ) and I simply can not use it for more than 5minutes without it stalling. There is simply no lubrication on the bar. This leads to the front sprocket ceasing and overheating. I will never buy a Husqvarna Chainsaw again, not only due to this new design, but due to their lack of customer support, and false advertising (2yr/4yr warranty only covers manufacturer defects excluding engine and transmission... which means they cover nothing).

I tried adjusting the amount of oil coming out onto the bar however Husqvarna made that unadjustable. Also Husqvarna designed the oil outlet in such way that it now easily gets clogged up. A chainsaw has the right to get dirty and it should still function fine. I do not understand what made them think that less oil is better.

My old Husqvarna 350 Chainsaw ran and ran and ran. You could adjust the oil output and the oil outlet never got clogged. I used that chainsaw so much that I burnt a hole through the muffler several times.

I bought the 4 year extended warranty and after reading the rules and regulations that the warranty covers I noticed it doesn't cover anything. It literally excludes everything. Now I am stuck with this brand new 450 chainsaw and I have to clean it every *** 5 minutes. It makes me wonder whether Husqvarna ever tests their chainsaws after they come up with these horrible designs!

I am now currently trying to get my money back from the dealership where I bought the 450 chainsaw. I have already explained this to them and simply just stand there because they know what I am saying is true.

Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw - No Oil on Bar1
Service & Maintenance Question posted January 23, 2016 by Kacper Kucharski in Husqvarna: Ask & Answer > Chainsaws public
    Question:
Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw - No Oil on Bar
    Details:

I bought a Brand New Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw, with extended warranty by buying 3 quarts of ready-mixed fuel  ($10 each), from an Authorized Dealership about one year ago. DO NOT buy this Chainsaw. It has a design flaw which limits the amount of oil that goes onto the bar. You will experience your 450 Chainsaw stalling and hesitating several times within a single minute. As soon as I noticed this problem, which was within the first minute of using it, I contacted Husqvarna and my Authorized Dealership from which I bought the chainsaw the day before.

In conclusion Husqvarna refers you to your local Authorized Dealership because they will not take responsibility. Unfortunately my Authorized Dealership will not take responsibly either. My authorized dealership replaced the oil pump and the same problem occurred once again, within the first minute. No oil goes onto the bar. At this point, my Authorized Dealership is taking zero responsibility. This has been an ongoing process for the past year and NO ONE wants to help.

The base warranty has no value and the extended warranty has no value. If you read the detailed policy on Husqvarna's Extended Warranty, which is 5 years in total, it excludes everything.

DO NOT buy the Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw. You can not even use it for a full minute without an issue and I am just a home owner.
