Hi Eugene. I don't know how I missed these two numbers the first time I looked but 00 is what's missing.

So from the answer you gave, it must have been made in 2000, the 14th week and the 2186 one produced that week.

Should the word week, underlined in the above sentence be replaced with year? That's a lot of saws for one week!

Does this all sound right now?

Also, what is the zero for that's between the 4 and the 2 in that number? Just for looks? 00 1402186.

    Thanks again,

    Steve

Karla, I apologize for my last post.

As I have since done more research, I have found that the part number you gave does indeed give me the parts that I need/asked for.

Thanks for the advice, the help, and hopefully.....you'll accept my apology!

    Sincerely,

So from the two answers above, no one has commented on which sharpener would work for my chain that I listed in my original post.

There's only 2 different links that I posted that had either: Chainsaw Sharpener File Kit or Combination Chainsaw File Guide.

All I'm looking for is which part number in those two links that i provided in my original post, would be the correct "sharpener" for the chain that I have on my saw.

I posted the numbers that came from the Oregon chain box thinking it would help whomever is experienced enough to know, from those numbers, which part number from both of those links, would work for me to sharpen my chain.

I don't want to know what every different number means, I'm not interested in what "pixel" means for what I'm looking for. knowing what Pixel means isn't going to help me in determining which of those two sharpener styles I'm gonna need.

I'm not interested in the Husqvarna part # 531 300 082. That's not the type of sharpener I'm looking for.

Maybe I'll call Husqvarna and see if they can help me.

    Thanks for the replies though.
