I too am having the same issue, it is not the neck but the gas cap seal. I couldn't find a cap anywhere and all the dealers have to order it. What I have found is that the original seal/breather is not made anymore , most probably because of this issue, and the replacement number is 531 00 33-47 but it's over $9.00 plus shipping and will take over a week at my local dealer. I did find out that the seal breaks down because of the ethanol gas.
There should be something on the website saying the replacment part has changed and save some homeowners fustration of having to track it down themselves. Also there should be more parts available for homeowner models, that don't need ordering and if its sold in a large reatiler they should have a majority of the parts for whatever model they sell. Miner was bought @ Lowes and they only have mower caps or trimmer line.
