    I have the same problem with the adapter except I've only had mine for about 3 months. The adapter looks like cast aluminum. Paid $500.00 for what I considered at the time to be the BEST walk behind on the market. I understand that it's better to shear the cheap aluminum rather than damage something more expensive but the aluminum used needs to be a grade or two higher. It should still be softer than the steel components transferring the torque load of the blade. Mistakes are going to happen, it's what you do afterward that defines you. I'm still a "husqie" fan for now.
