I bought a self propelled walk behind mower less than a year...Answeredescalated5
Parts Question posted July 24, 2011 by Rocky Chaubey
    Question:
I bought a self propelled walk behind mower less than a year ago. The bag is not dust proof and by the time I am done mowing my yard, I have half a pound of dust in my lungs and am fully coated all over with a thick layer of dust! Most other manufacturers have dust proof bags. To make matters worse, the welding on either side of the bag handle broke. The receipt from Lowes was printed on thermal paper and has faded. I have finally located an auto repair shop in downtown Fort Worth that also doubles up as an authorized Husqvarna service center.

Is a dust proof bag available for Husqvarna mowers? If yes, where can I find it? and BTW who thought of marketing these mowers with the "pass the dust through" bags?! It is a major pain and should have come up in field trials before this product was put on the market.

    Question:
I bought a 7021R last summer. I notices that the drive belt was no able to pull the mower up a small hill this year. I took the cover off the drive belt and found it stuffed with grass, because there is no cover over the drive belt under the mower. Can I get a cover for the belt. Otherwise I need to remover the top belt cover after every small mowing job. This was a very poor design on your part. Also I think this belt exposure under the mower will short the life of the belt. I wish I had seen this before I bought it!!!!

    Question:
I just purchased a HU800HW and need to find an option for increasing the traction on the rear drive wheels. I have a couple of slopes that approach a 25 degree incline and the no-traction rear wheels just don't provide any traction!
What was Husky thinking when they designed these "slicks" anyway?

Parts Question posted May 17, 2011 by Dave Harnish
    Question:
I just bought a walk-behind HU800HW mower. Runs fine and I like the design so far, but I need a side discharge chute for it NOW. Husqvarna's advertising says all 3 options - rear bagging, mulching, and side discharge - are included with all WB mowers, but this one has no side discharge capability out of the box (and 'mulching' is a joke, with our thick Spring grass - mower clogs up with clippings in about 15 feet).

I registered my purchase to have a chute sent to me, but now I'm told it'll be a 6-8 week(!) wait to get one! That's unacceptable, and my dealer, as well as Huskie's customer service 800# helpline can't help.

I need to cut grass NOW, and bagging it all in the tiny bagger isn't an option here.

How can I get a side discharge chute in the next few days? I'm willing to buy one at this point, even though I already have a bad taste in my mouth, to be frank, wondering if the Husqvarna brand was a mistake. This is my first experience with the company.

Thanks for anything you can do!
