General Product Question posted June 29, 2015 by Bailey92
    Question:
Mower blade discharged from underneath the mower while mowing.
    Details:

I purchased a Husqvarna HU800AWD mower from Lowes this May and initially was happy with the purchase.  This changed yesterday when my wife was out mowing the yard (June 27th), she called up to me and stated the mower blade had just shot out from under the mower and flew about 20 feet.

Luckily the blade was discharged out the side of the mower and not the back of the mower where it would have caused a serious injury.

I took a look and initially thought the bolt holding the mower had come lose and fallen out, but on closer examination, it appears the bolt sheared off and released the blade.

My understanding is that there are typically shear pins on the drive shaft of a mower blade in the case you hit something, but it wouldn't shear the bolt holding the blade on.  This seems like a serious issue and a concern for others that also own this type of mower.

We have used the mower 3 times.  Our yard is not perfect, and I am sure we have hit a few rocks, but no more than with any other mower we've owned over the past 20 years.

We purchased the mower at Lowes in Hudson, MA and brought it back.. the best they could do is send it out for service to get it repaired as it was 10 days past their 30 day return policy.  I understand they were following their policy, but were somewhat disappointed with the outcome.

Needless to say, I am OK getting it repaired, but am a bit nervous about mowing my lawn with this mower going forward.  I know for certain my wife won't be using the mower.

    Question:
Bought a Poulan Pro walk behind mower Model PR500N21SH. In the picture the oil goes in the top of the mower, but in reality it goes in under the top, and is very hard to get to. We had to get a tiny funnel, which makes the oil go in very slow. Also, cannot find an exit for the oil, so assume one must turn it upside down to drain. Are we correct?

    Question:
I recently purchased a walk behind mower (Model HU675AWD). Is there any way to slow down the factory set speed on this mower. Being new to an AWD product, I find the speed too fast to trim around landscaped areas and trees in my yard. I read the instructions on how to speed the mower up after a time when the cables may stretch some, but there does not appear to be an adjustment to go the other way. Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated.

    Question:
I have model HU725AWD/BBC. I have a complaint about the fact that grass builds up in the rear of the mover by the rear door at the opening for the bag. As a result of this buildup, every so often it drops a clump of grass on the lawn. After mowing it looks like the mower left piles of *** everywhere. Why can the rear door have a larger protrusion to close off this gap?

    Question:
I just barely bought a Poulan Pro PR625Y22RKP lawn mower. I've left it plugged in to charge for well over the recommended 24 hours. The electric start does not work. It runs when I pull start. But, since buying it just a few weeks ago, the electric keystart has never worked!

    Question:
    Hello;

I've got a Poulon PR624ES snow blower that does a great job for me BUT I have a question. I was supplied with the manual # 580 53 10-27 REV.3 and on page 13 it shows that there are supposed to be 2 Auger grease fitting but when I'm going through the actual auger shaft there isn't any grease zerks to grease. Is the diagram an error for this model or how can I grease this? I called the Husqvarna Hot Line also and he was stumped on this one also, for he didn't see any grease zerks on the shaft also. thanks for your help, Paul Poeppelman

I purchased a Poulan Pro Key Start Self Propelled lawn mower...escalated
Warranty Question posted November 19, 2013 by Ben Wong
    Question:
I purchased a Poulan Pro Key Start Self Propelled lawn mower a year ago from Amazon.
Last week I took the mower for yearly service and found out the battery for the key start no longer holding the charge. I went to my local Poulan service provider, he said this is under normal wear and tear not cover by the warranty.
I have the model PR625Y22RKP with 2 year warranty not sure why the battery no part of the warranty.
