Service & Maintenance Question posted April 13, 2011 by Brian Bownds
I have a Poulan Pro Blower Vac Mulcher. It starts and runs but if I shut it off and let it sit more than a few minutes it will not restart. It is only 2 months old and I have only used it a few times. I use premium gas and good quality 2 stroke oil. I can run it as long as I want. I can shut it off and restart it within a minute or two without a problem. If it sits for more than a few minutes it wont start and the carb will not prime/purge, only air stays in the primer bulb. This is a new unit and shouldn't have these kind of problems, do I need to return the unit?
    Thanks,
    Brian B

Parts Question posted September 11, 2011 by Don Wright
    Question:
I just bought a new chainsaw (PP4218AVX), but when I went to use it, there was no filler cap for the bar oil. I asked about it at Lowe's where I purchased it, and they referred me to the 800# in the manual. I have tried to call the number several times, but get no answer and it then it eventually disconnects. How do I get a filler cap for this?

    Question:
I nhave a poulan blower/vac.When I used it to vac leaves it worked fine but emptying the bag is very difficult because the zipper on the bag does open the entire bottom of the bag.Did poulan ever recall or replace these bags?

    Question:
My BVM200LE ran for about an hour. The next day it wouldn't start. I checked spark (OK), changed fuel. No start.

Took it into B&L Outdoor Power, Hollister, Mo. THey said there wasn't enough compression for it to start.

They called Poulon who told them they would not honor the warranty....!

They soaked the cylinder in "Seafoam" for 48 hours and it ran. I took it home and used it once; about 1/2 hour. It has never run since. I tried the same Seafoam soak; no good.
I even tried a shot of starting fluid. No good.

Since you won't honor the warranty the only thing left to me is to contact Sam's Club (where I bought it) and Consumer's
Union - unless you can do something to repair or replace my blower.

    Thank you,
    Thomas Richards

    Question:
I'm a very dissatisfied Poulan customer.
I bought a Poulan blower in fall of 2010. I used it that fall and this past fall in a non-commercial way. It ran OK but cord came out in my hand when I tried to start it this past fall. I just brought it to a local small engine guy. He said, "It's too costly to fix. Throw it out. I'd have to take it all apart to fix it. It's not worth it." What say you? Fred 978-454-0794
