Service & Maintenance Question posted December 13, 2011 by Frank Kwei
I have a Husqvarna 5524STE and after a couple of seasons of perfect performance, it developed a severe fuel leak to the point that I can't even idle without manually turning off the valve. The local service store wants $160 just to look at it... any recommendations?

    Thanks

I just purchased a Husqvarna 12527HV and need help with adjusting the Drive Speed Control Lever. When placing the lever just above the reverse position the machine is so fast I
am almost running to keep up with it.

Problem #2...The skid plates are making scratch marks on my new concrete driveway. (2nd winter for driveway)

Service & Maintenance Question posted March 16, 2016 by Kevin Mullin
I have a Model # ST227P product # 961930097 27" Snow Thrower and want to change the engine oil now that the season is over.
Looking through the manuals that came with the machine I see that the different engines have different capacities.
My engine model # according to the stamp on the side of the engine is PW2HK18750 OR 75H.
No where in the user manuals does it cross reference these numbers over to CC size so I can determine the oil capacity of the engine.
My question is what CC engine is this and why doesn't the owner's manual have this useful information?

Service & Maintenance Question posted February 4, 2014 by Bil Berkelbach
I have a Husqvarna Snow Blower 10530SBE. It has worked fairly well in the past, but I now have a problem with the auger. (The engine starts and runs fine.) The auger control shaft has a roller arm which is meant to put pressure on the impeller arm, thereby engaging the auger. (I think, per the owner's manual drawings.) With mine right now, the roller seems to "miss" the impeller arm, or if it does hit it, it slips past it upon the first squeeze of the trigger. The auger shaft does not seem to be bent. Any ideas as to what might be needed? It is too large a unit to be loaded into my small SUV for easy check by a dealer. Thanks.

Service & Maintenance Question posted January 11, 2016 by Alex Sampsel
What type of fluid does the hydro-gear transmission take in my new husqvarna st330t. The unit must have burped some air because I have not used it for any real time yet and the fluid is not showing I'm the expansion tank. There is no leakage, and I just need to top it off. The manual says it's a sealed ayst m and does not need fluid added, blah blah blah. My p-zt6126 mower takes 20w50 for the zt3400 units. My dealer is like an hour an hour away and this isn't brain surgery, so please don't ask me to take it to them. I just need to top off the fluid. Thanks in advance.

I cannot sense any usable warmth from the hand warmers on my ST224. With care I can detect a very small amount of heat, but not enough to be useful.

Service & Maintenance Question posted February 26, 2014 by Steve Dennett
I have a four year old Husqvarna 12524SB snow thrower, which I've used five or six times (we only occasionally get really heavy snow). I was surprised when, with so little use, it developed a problem this year.

When I tried to start it using the electric starter, the starter made a whining noise but didn't turn over the engine. I'm thinking maybe some starter gear is stripped, but would like to get your opinion as to what might be the problem, and what I need to do to fix it.

Other identification: Engine Family ALCTS2912SN, Starter Model JQ170-2

    Thanks for your help.

Husqvarna ST327P snow blower. Auger does not lock when both...4
Service & Maintenance Question posted December 12, 2016 by Thomas Johnston
Husqvarna ST327P snow blower. Auger does not lock when both traction drive and auger controls are engaged. In other words, when I release the auger control, the auger disengages even when the traction control is still fully engaged. This feature is explained in the owner's manual and it's to allow the operator to remove his right hand to manipulate the chute control without having the auger stop.

I purchased the snow blower new last fall but didn't use it last year due to lack of snow. I used it for the first time today and this feature doesn't work.

Inspecting the mechanism, I see a plastic part with a ledge that apparently should lock onto the metal auger control part when the traction drive is engaged but the ledge can't lock onto the metal part of the auger mechanism. The ledge just slips over the metal plate.

I see that someone else posted this question a long time ago but received no response. I would appreciate help with this because when I used the machine for the first time today, it was clear that that feature would be very useful. Every time I removed my right hand from the auger control the auger stopped even though the traction control was full engaged and the machine was moving.
