Cables terminate under the lever on a pin. At the end where the chute is there is a plastic wheel with the cable wrapped around that wheel. I assume I need to recenter the cable there, but do not see a way to accomplish that.
My used-one-time-for-one-hour ST224 will not start. I've tried all I can figure out to do. Quadruple-checked that I have all the settings correct for starting. New gasoline. At the end of the previous use I ran it dry so it should not be a gummed up carb issue.
I want to try starting fluid but as there is no air filter, there's no place to try spraying it into. So short of calling for expensive (I need it transported) service for a brand new unit, what else can I do?
As you can see in the attached photo, the cable has sawn through both the cover and mounting end. This happened because of the sharp bend required by the design. Please provide a new cable and instruction on how to prevent the problem from occurring again.
