Service & Maintenance Question posted June 29, 2017 by James Foster
323L trimmer head feeds line without bumping. Recently my 323L has been ejecting line whenever it pleases. It will let it out to the point that it contacts the line stop on the guard, which will cause it to pull out even more line. I often have to stop and cut the line shorter. Why is the head doing this, it doesn't look worn or damaged.

323r that only runs when fuel tank is topped off. Once fuel level decreases slightly, trimmer stops running, until you top of the fuel again. Any suggestions?

A friend gave me an older 223L. Gas lines were broken. I've cleaned carb, replaced lines, but can't seem to find the correct routing for the fuel lines. Seems simple enough, but can't seem to get fuel flowing thru the carb.

Service & Maintenance Question posted February 28, 2017 by discount brains
A guy gave me a Husqvarna string trimmer flywheel and ignition coil. I'm making something else with it and mounted the flywheel onto an electric motor. I can't decide which side is the bottom of the coil-the flat side or the side with the bulge. Anyway it doesn't seem to be producing a spark either way. I would go back and ask him, but he's out,I'm told, with a bad flu. I believe I'll go ahead and buy a new coil. I only see ones that are nearly identical to mine; all should work for me. I just need to know which side goes down. I assume the side with printing goes up.

Service & Maintenance Question posted August 31, 2013 by Mark Mattson
About 2 months ago, I bought a Husqvarna LD128 trimmer and an LE720 edger attachment. The trimmer has worked fine. I finally decided it was time to do edging. I easily removed the trimmer. However, I couldn't get the edger accessory to fully insert. The release button doesn't get far enough in to pass through the hole like it should. Furthermore, I can no longer re-insert the trimmer that was originally attached.

It seems to me that the shaft on the lower attachment is going as far in to the coupler in the upper shaft as it will go. I'm worried that the coupler in the upper shaft has somehow been misaligned or otherwise knocked out of place.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

After one year, the 128DL trimmer does not start. I put in new gas and new spark plug. One year.

Any ideas. I put stabilizer in all my gas and mix as directed.

If this is product quality, quality is bad.

Can I bring it back to Lowes? Or was it a complete waste of my money. I am using a battery powered trimmer now and my neighbors are ridiculing me, as they know I have the Husqvarna.

Don't know where to get fixed in Plymouth MN. It will probably cost as much as the unit is worth. Should I throw it out?

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 30, 2013 by Stephen Scullin
Can anyone tell me how to remove the trimmer head on the 128CD model? I cannot figure out how to lock the spin action to remove the head.

I recently bought the Husqvarna 128CD string trimmer, and would like to remove and replace the trimmer head. This model is different from all other sting trimmers I have previously owned as it does not have a nut above the trimmer head where you can use a wrench to lock the spin action to twist the head off. See attached pictures.

    Thanks for your help.

Carburetor adjustment tool? for 223L string trimmer and all...escalated1
Service & Maintenance Question posted August 27, 2013 by Michael Polski
Carburetor adjustment tool? for 223L string trimmer and all of the newer model Husqvarna string trimmers! I hate the 223L string trimmer I bought last summer, a new "refurbished" from Northern tool. It starts and idles well. It never revs to full speed, never has. I thought it would break in, but never did. Just needs a carburetor adjustment! but the new pins on the carburetor defy any common tool, and a tool cannot be found on the internet as far as I know. Spent $75 at a dealer/repair shop (all they did was dump out the fuel and add new ethanol-free fuel/gas mixture. They couldn't find a tool either, so they couldn't adjust the carburetor). Runs the same with the expensive "Husqvarna true-fuel...ehtanol free 50:1 mix". Another $7.00. I tried different butt-end electrical connectors, but they didn't work..#10 more dollars..wouldn't fit over the carburetor peg well. Went to searspartsdirect.com.....no help
they don't have a carburetor adjustment tool. None on eBay. No returns or warranty from Husqvarna! No help for a trimmer bought "new"...that runs, but has never worked right.
