HUWRZ5424 early life electrical issue... serial number...escalated
Warranty Question posted December 14, 2012 by Gary Graham
    Question:
HUWRZ5424 early life electrical issue... serial number 072611C00. Purchased on 10/4/12 from Western Small Engines in Pell City, Alabama. The mower has been used only twice to cut grass, and after sitting a couple of weeks, the battery was drained. I attempted to jump start, but it was obvious that something is wrong because the starter seems to be engaged, even before turning the key switch. I searched the Answer Army forum and did not see posts matching this symptom. Please let me know the best way to get this issue fixed.

    Question:
We purchased an RZ5426 from Lowe's on 5/10/2012 and it has less than 8 hours on the mower. While I was mowing yesterday it threw the belt off and I found that the pulley on the belt drive had a large whole worn in the middle of it. Can you tell me what may cause this and if it is covered under warranty.

Warranty Question posted October 2, 2012 by Emerson McArthur
    Question:
I purchased a model 96899219.CZ4815KAA in 2003 from Turney Mower in Chesterland, Ohio.
I know its out of warrenty but I have and am experienced some sturctural problems that in my opionion shoul not occur.
Three times now The bolts (P/N 5391080020) have sheared off the transaxel. And now the IZT Support (P/N 539107556) has alos sheared off the right side bolted mounting. The part has actually been toren from the mounting.
My use of the morer is only cutting my lawn and I do not abuse it. I was hoping that it would not have these type of issues when purchased. These,in my opinion, are structural issues with the engineering of the unit.
Should I expect theis type of breakdown even at this age? and is this a recurring issue with this mower? I can't believe that I am onth only customer that has experienced this type of problem.

If I decide to purchase a new mower what would your reccomend?

I consider this a seirrious issue and am expecting a reasonal reply in a short amoount of time.

Thank You. My phone number is 216-570-93471

Is this an Official Husvarna site?

Warranty Question posted September 24, 2012 by Ben Delaney
    Question:
I purchased a zero turn RZ4219 back in late May. I found online after the purchase that this model apparently has a design flaw with the belt, either coming off, breaking off or both. After my first usage of the mower I noticed the belt is frayed. What has Husqvarna done to solve this problem so that it will be fixed by an authorized repair center when I take it in? If it can not be fixed will Husqvarna offer any other options, as with a vehicle you are protected by the lemon lay for a known faulty equipment/design.

    Question:
As you all realize, it is almost Labor Day Weekend, people wan't their yards to look nice and so forth, But when you have a broken down 2011 PZT5224 and a servicing dealer says it could be at least a couple of weeks, and Husqvarna doesn't give a rats behind, ie: service bulletin about this problem see pic below. You have to take matters in your own hands, So an individual does not lose friends and or customers. You fix the piece of ---- so you can mow, you then contact the Better business bureau and file a complaint 87 hrs on this zero turn the selling dealer did not register it with the manufacturer like they said they would, [maybe if it was registered I would have known about this service issue] and Husqvarna customer service is so noncaring it makes me sick

Purchased a RZ4623 from Lowes on 5-19-12. First problem was...escalated
Warranty Question posted June 21, 2012 by George Sweet
    Question:
Purchased a RZ4623 from Lowes on 5-19-12. First problem was two spacers (pn 539 109562) missing on top of idler pulley (pn 539 132728) which caused the belt keeper (pn 522 629701) to lock the idler from turning. The deck belt lasted about three minutes before smoking and breaking. Lowes was kind enough to replace my belt and found two washers which provided the idler with a way to turn properly. My latest trouble was when trying to grease the zerks (pn 539 115638) on the front wheel/axle assembly. After applying grease, the zerk remained with my grease gun. Thinking perhaps it was not installed properly, I tried the other side with the same result. I have the mechanical capability to drill out the hole, and install a new 1/8 npt zerk but do not wish to void my warranty.

    Please advise. Thank you

    Question:
I just bought a new RZ4623 from Lowes. They advertise a 3 year warranty on the mower and a 10 year warranty on the reinforced deck. I can't seem to find any information on the 10 year deck warranty in the manuals provided with the mower or on your website. Could someone from Husqvarna please confirm the deck warranty and point me in the right direction where I might find the specific details regarding the 10 year warranty on the deck. Thanks

    I just bought a 54 In. 24HP Gas Powered Riding Zero Turn...escalated
Warranty Question posted April 4, 2012 by John Respass
    Question:
I just bought a 54 In. 24HP Gas Powered Riding Zero Turn Riding Lawn Mower via Sears Home Delivery. I used it for the first time today - it was delivered last week. It did a great job, but I had to stop to answer a phone call. When I returned to the mower, the starter would not activate. After a fair amount of troubleshooting and profanity, I discovered that a wiring harness running directly above the mower deck under the seat that had two badly abraded the areas, almost as though the blade drive belts were contacting the harness. At least one conductor inside the harness appears to be totally severed, and I suspect it is involved in verifying engagement of the parking brake or that the left drive arm is in neutral. Having enjoyed only one hour of use, I'm not terribly excited about spending a Saturday tearing this thing down and replacing the harness (nor do I feel it is my responsibility). How do I get this fixed? I do not have a vehicle capable of transporting this mower. And of course, the problem occurred at the lowest point on my property. Pushing it up a 20 ft hill is *remarkably* difficult.

    Otherwise, I love the thing.

    Thanks,
    John
