Trying to register it online, there is no product number for this in the system. (960930018) The mail in registration card looks like a dealer needs to sign? However it still does not run smooth. I took it back to the dealer. They checked it out, said all was ok and that the engine surging is normal. They said it has a 10 hour break in, it would run better after that and the surging would stop. Is that correct??? thanks
- General Product Question posted April 25, 2012 by J Serge LeBelQuestion:DRT 900 tiller,less than 12 hrs on it.Noproblem untill now.Noengine problem.While tilling I turned a corner.Wheels stopped pulling,but tines kept turning.Pulled side cover,adjusted belt tension:no help.Also unable to shift!As I rolled it to the barn I noticed that the AXEL was able to slide freely side to side!S ounds to me the weld on the axel spocket gave up.Found only one dealer in the area willing to consider looking at it,but he has a 6 mos waiting list.Believe I'm up the proverbial creek.Try to answer better than "yes".Details:
Did not take it apart.I'm too busy---Ineed a serviceable machine---this machine is virtually new---warranty expires in june.

After investigating, I noticed the Left cleaning tine was bent toward the transmission case and was scraping against the side. I thought that perhaps this was bent like this from the start, and so after having it replaced at the dealer, began to till again. After the same amount of time the same thing happened. I have removed the cleaning tine. What could be causing this?

I understand that it has a forward and a reverse gear. I need to know how the reverse gear is engaged. Is it with a reverse lever or some kind of hokey knob? I cannot tell by the photo of it. I would appreciate an answer to this question.

I will not be able to actually use this tiller until next spring but was very interested in what this unit had to offer, so I decided to give it a 'try'. If the cost of a new battery pack will be close to half of what I paid for the entire unit, I may end up taking this back to the retail outlet and go back to the gas tillers.
Thanks for providing a great dependable name and I am hoping that this cordless tiller will be what I need.
