Parts Question posted July 3, 2016 by Michael CampbellQuestion:125L String Trimmer Part #. problem. My throttle cable assembly broke and I ordered a replacement based on the serial number of my unit. Serial 06074N302334-1. P/N# 545125301 ... the end of the cable nearest the carburetor does not match mine and all the diagrams I see for this part do not look the same as mine. Is it an upgrade and or how does it install differently.Photo:

So this week while out trimming down some weeds, the motor on my 20V cordless Weed Eater trimmer started spewing out blue smoke and starting/stopping, turned it off to avoid further smoking. Hi, I bought an old 25r Trimmer from a local auction and had it tuned up by our local service center. They started it there without a problem but now I can't get it started. I've tried full choke, half choke, pushing the bulb a few times, pushing it a bunch of times, trigger in, trigger out, nothing seems to work. I'm sure I am doing something wrong but I don't know what. I also can't seem to find the owner's manual anywhere so I don't know what the right steps are. Can anyone out there help?

I had to register it as a different model because my model was not listed in the drop down. My question concerns my first-time use of my FL25C. After about 15 minutes of use and several times having to stop the unit and manually pull out string, I notice that the shaft between the trimmer head and shield was very hot. It actually started to smoke and I immediately stopped the trimmer and left it to cool down. After it was cool, I restarted it and used for a few minutes when it got very hot again. Can you tell me what the problem is or if I should return the trimmer? Roseann M

White cleaning it I noticed it had a carburetor made in China. After seeing this I realized it was just a POS, and it has been sitting in my shed for a long time. When going though the shed finding items to trash I came across this practically new POS Weed Eater trimmer. It has collected a lot of dust over time. Why you market such a poor quality product I will never know. I can just pass you my extremely negative experience, which I will surely pass on to all the people I know. As far as I am concerned the Weed Eater reputation sucks.

Since replacement part looked different than installed part I called Husqvarna to get installation instructions. Was told new part did not have spring so was a different install, but no installation instructions were available. Have always gotten support for my 2246 lawn tractor and my Rancher chain saw. Why do the line trimmers not have the same level of support? Right now I am looking to buy a new trimmer unless someone can help with this repair...and it won't be a Husqvarna.Details:
