Service & Maintenance Question posted June 11, 2013 by richard mcnair
    Question:
Took me the longest time to navigate your web site and be able to sign on but that is another issue.

I was just given a gift of a PP325 trimmer with a brush cutter that I am attempting to install. You "unscrew the trimmer head by turning it clockwise" after stabilizing the gear box/dust cap with a hex wrench or screwdriver. Really? How much pressure do you exert? I took two hands and could not turn it. Your service call center said that should do it well it didn't. Is there a special magic to this?

As a suggestion there were online videos for these products but none on this particular problem.

General Product Question posted June 4, 2013 by Bill Harvell
    Question:
What is the best way to prevent grass from getting in the slot where one puts a screw driver to change either the string head or the blade. On a PP325. I loosely used a long zip tie. It works but there has to be a better way. The grass spins in the housing and winds up till it stops the string or blade from turning.

Warranty Question posted September 6, 2012 by Charles Beck
    Question:
While using my PRO-330 trimmer I tapped the head to feed line during trimming operation. The line spool seperated on one side of the head and the metal piece that line feeds through on the head was thrown out of head and I could not find this part to reinstall it in the head. I now have a trimmer that won't function properly without the metal guide.

Is this covered under warranty or will I have to purchase a new head.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I have attached a copy of purchase order.

General Product Question posted June 18, 2011 by Richard Koetting
    Question:
Why does the pp335 have counter clockwise rotation? This trimmer seems to throw more debri back at the operator than any other trimmer I have ever owned. I will use it a few more times before I decide to return it or modify the shield. Poor design.

Warranty Question posted August 27, 2013 by Charles Browning
    Question:
Why even have a warranty? Its just talk.
    Details:
I bought a new PP325 in June. It worked well once on my property. I went to use it again in early August and it has no power when cutting the grass though it runs. Went to authorized service centers assuming they could handle it under warranty and it needed a carburetor adjustment and they told me good luck. I dont have the receipt. I misplaced it.

Went back to return in the store, sorry its after 30 days cant return it. I call support again. Sorry you dont have a receipt nothing we can do for you.

End of story I have a trimmer that wont cut grass that is 2 months old and could only be repaired out of my pocket. Cant return it. What company only stands behind something for 30 days? Last Poulan product I will ever buy. Should have stuck with Honda.

Service & Maintenance Question posted July 10, 2013 by Ronald Verkouille
    Question:
Why has Poulan gone to a carb adjustment system that requires a special tool to make a simple adjustment? All my other 2cycle engines allow gas adjustments to be made with a screwdriver. I called Poulan and they said they could not sell me the tool. I would have to take my weed eater to a service dealer to have a simple gas adjustment made. Is this what Poulan calls good customer service?

    Question:
Worst customer service I have ever seen. No responses at all. I have asked question reference to pole trimers several times in last two weeks and no response from Poulan, and can not get thru on phone.Lousy support. Have a new Poulan Pro PP258TP pole saw. This is second one in two weeks. Starts up fine, but will not accelerate when pulling throtle to actuate saw. Stalls out every time. Any suggestions other than turn this one back in too.
