Just wanted to give a update and say after almost 2 months of using my new riding mower I'm very pleased. I've put my mower to the test cutting 3' tall grass and climbing grades near 30 degree or more inclines.....(the key here is to get a running start in 3 rd gear and to my surprise I make it up). Battery was dead when I bought it last month but went to Harbor freight and tools and picked up a $ 8 float charger a few weeks ago and now its starts every time and stays charged on its own. I'm really amazed how little gas this mower uses. I use to hate cutting grass but now I can't wait for it to grow so I can jump on my little grass mowing go-kart. : )

Question:1) I am considering the Weed Eater One for my application. Is another rebate in effect after 7/10?
2) Do I order the mulching kit from the dealer I purchase the WEO from or through Weed Eater direct? Now. It won't start with the pull cord either. With the key, I can hear it trying to turn over, but can't get there. Is this a battery issue? Thanks
- Question:After reading about your new weedeater one mower, I kept looking for a rebate and when does one become available? Right after I buy the mower and so it looks like I can't submit the application. Is there anything that you can do?

- Question:After using my Weedeater One only twice, it shut off on me as I was mowing. It will not start using the manual pull nor will it start using the key for electric. Where do I locate the battery and how do I take it out to charge a dead battery is the problem?
Service & Maintenance Question posted April 5, 2013 by John RussellQuestion:Any recalls for the WE261 Riding Lawn Mower?Details:I have a WE261 riding lawn mower that I purchsed from Wal Mart in October 2011 when they were closing out the Lawn and Garden equiptment. This was a floor model, but I still payed over $900.00 for it. I have had nothing but problems with this lawn mower, and I have only used it ONE season! This turned out to be a piece of junk that wasn't worth bringing home. I was very very caution in buying the "Weed Eater" brand as they tend to be known for the poor quality, but I took a gamble.
I have been trying to contact support, and being transfered every which way, and no resolutions. I am unable to locate my receipt for the mower, so I am getting no where with the warranty -- I guess Wal-Mart had this rider sitting around for a while so it ate into my warrenty period per the serial number.
So -- getting ready to start season two of this after putting some money into it last year (all new tires and tubes), new spark plug, oil change, fuel stabilizer, and the whole 9 yards for the tune up. Got it started, put it into gear and now it vibrates and doesn't have much power. In looking at the internet for this, its a $300.00 + job to have done and it is common in all these with the transmission. If there is not a recall for this yet, I hope that one does come because this is a total waste of money, and these things are a big rip off!!
Way to go Weed Eater -- living up to your name as selling junk, but at a higher price!
- Question:Are the "high lift" blades on the we261 and included in the bagger kit the same blade.
- Question:Can not find how to receive the free Mulcher fit.
- Question:Can the weed eater one be used to pull a lawn sweeper?
