I need to ask if there has been recall placed for the Weed...escalated
General Product Question posted August 9, 2013 by jim metherd
    Question:
I need to ask if there has been recall placed for the Weed Eater FL20C? I have used this unit for less than 8 total hours and it has malfunctioned again. I realize this is a lower priced item but if you review the attached photo it also shows a tag from being serviced for the same problem; the "gear as I will call it" is froze and will not move. The unit will not allow the cord to be pulled to start the motor. I hope that Weed Eater stand behind their product enough to offer some suggestion on what to do.

I've been reading slam after slam about the weedeater...escalated
General Product Question posted July 16, 2013 by B. Collins
    Question:
I've been reading slam after slam about the weedeater one. I have to say, I'm on my 3rd mowing season and have had nothing but great experiences.
The only problem I've had is a few flat tires (probably due to my mowing "style" (agressive)
I've never even disconnected the battery during the winter months... it fires right up in the spring!
    Tips:
    1. Engage the blades SLOWLY, like a clutch in a car
    2. CHECK THE OIL before EVERY mow
    3. Take your time...it's a small mower...if the grass is tall, go to 1st gear and do a 'half-cut' instead of loading the engine down
    4. Keep the blade sharp...it makes it easier on the motor
    5. Let it run for a few (15-30) seconds before putting it in gear...it's a carburated motor, it needs to warm up
    6. Clean your air filter
    7. Change the oil at leaset every riding season
    8. Most important...treat the mower as something you want to keep for a while...you take care of it, it will take care of you!

Again... no issues except for tires...cuts great and always starts...
This is from a 180lb average guy in Middle Tennessee with a mowing season from mid-May - October(ish), mowing every 2 weeks or so...

    Question:
The battery appears to be dead so I can not start my Weed Eater One riding mower with the key. How do I start it with the pull start ? I tried pulling the cord a number of times but it didn't start. Is there a trick to this ? Does the key need to be out or turned to some start position first ?

Dear Answer Army, I have a Weed Eater One 26" riding...escalated
General Product Question posted July 11, 2012 by Michael Sloan
    Question:
    Dear Answer Army,
I have a Weed Eater One 26" riding mower that has been very dependable until last week. The battery is okay and it cranks like usual, but will not fire/start. Trying the, pull starter rope, was not successful. Since it was okay last week I am hoping it might be a sensor or connection problem. I have gone through the manual, with no luck, trying to solve the no-start problem. Based on your experience, could give me some logical steps of things to check next? Bringing it to a dealer is not an option for me. Please help...
    Sincerely,
    Mike

    Question:
Hi. I wanted to get a weedeater one and can't find any in my area. I have a small laawn but lost my leg last year and it's hard to use a push mower now. I noticed that the prices range from $650 to $1150. I wanted to know where I can get it cheapest in my area, Wichita Falls, Texas and also wanted to know how much the mulching kit is. Money gets really tight after medical bills and not being able to work anymore, so I need the best info I can get. Thanks, Perry

    Question:
I have a weedeater one riding mower that is 2 years old. It worked the first time I used it after the winter although it was hard to start. Now it will not start with the key, but have found that if I pull the cord it will start which is quite difficult for me since I have severe arthritis. I don't believe it is the battery because why would it not start with key and work with pull? Also I wonder if it is the battery where would I get one? I hope this can be fixed because I cannot afford another on my fixed income. Please help!! Thank You
