General Product Question posted July 9, 2011 by Don JQuestion:My Weedeater one has stopped working after a week. I purchased a Weedeater One on 7/01/11. I've used it twice and it worked fine. The last time I used it, I ran out of gas, parked the unit and refilled it the next day. It no longer starts. It won't start using the pull starter (many many pulls) and it makes zero noise when trying the ignition. I've followed the correct procedures (i.e. free control engaged, sitting on seat, parking break set, neutral, and deck clutch disengaged). I've had this unit for less that 2 weeks and I'm on the edge of taking it back to Home Depot. The brake was engaged (locked) & I couldn't figure out how to disengage it. I tried pressing down on the peddle like you would with a car's parking brake but that didn't work. Nobody around to help me, so how does the brake lock & unlock?

I also had paid more than $320 for a replacement battery and transportation to/from the nearest service center about 70 miles away. The new mower has been gently used only five times so far. The new mower is supposed to have a new/improved type of transmission. The belt on the new mower came off when operating at medium speed and will only stay on if the mower is run at the slowest speed. The loose belt slaps against the inside of the plastic mandrel cover and has poked a hole in it. There does not seem to be any way to adjust the belt. The steering is rough even though I have lubricated it per the operating manual. What might I expect to happen next?
