    Question:
    Hello!

A year ago we bought a 356BT blower, sold to us as powerful, quiet, and ergonomic. We use this machine daily, and it has been nothing but a disappointment. This brand new machine has been in for authorized service 3 times already. The first time was to replace the fuel lines, which broke at the pinch points where they enter into the fuel tank. The other two times have been for low blowing velocity and when warmed up, for having difficulty regaining rpm once you let off the throttle and get back on it. It has been to two separate Husqvarna dealers for service, and they feel it is overheating, a design flaw they guess. They tell me to run it without the back cover, which is a smelly experience, lots of fumes (and incidentally did not correct the power issues we're having). The dealers shrug their shoulders, and tell me to buy a new blower. I think this unit is either a lemon, or a poorly designed Edsel of the blower world. In either case, I regret my investment in this Husqvarna product. My staff now refuse to use it, instead preferring to use a Stihl hand-held blower, even for big jobs like clearing parking lots. Quite a statement.

I would like two things from Husqvarna:
    1) A recommendation for a powerful Husqvarna backpack blower to replace it
    2) A credit toward the purchase of a new blower to improve my current opinion of Husqvarna products, and to help me remain loyal to Husqvarna, which has not let me down in the past.

Thank you for your consideration of my request.

Is there a retailer out there who can help me?escalated
General Product Question posted August 5, 2012 by Kathy Motashami
    Question:
Is there a retailer out there who can help me?
    Details:

Sorry but there's no easy way to ask this.  I'm a 60 yo, unemployed newbie (and yes a single female too who has to do everything herself) to power equipment.  Unfortunately when I find work I have to work even if it means putting in 60 - 70+ hours week.  So with the weather here in NY being very condusive to the grass growing off the charts, and to help make my life just a little easier I figured, I have a brand new leaf blower.  Why not use it.  So instead of having to rake the grass cuttings, I can blow the grass cuttings into a pile and then take them away and dump in my back yard.  So after mowing my lawn for 3 hours, being exhausted, and without thinking, I did the big no no, I picked up the wrong gas container totally fogetting the leaf blower needed to have the mix the same as the new chain saw I have.  I've been told there's nothing to be done it can not be fixed.

If this is true, I'm wondering if there's anyway I can find someone who would be nice enough to sell me another new blower at the wholesale price instead of having to pay full retail again.  As mentioned above, I am unemployed, any money earned pays bills and mortgage.  I even collect refundable bottles and cans on a weekly basis for grocery money.  I've been surviving for over 3 years now, working what ever jobs I can find.  Weeding, working for the 2010 Census, a server for catering companies, working as security for the local county fairs, and yes, even collecting bottles and cans where ever I can find them.  So if there's anyone in this community reading this that can help in any way to find someone with a good heart to help me in this situation, I would truly appreciate it.

    Question:
I have just purchased a backpack blower Model number 350BT. I have a friend that sells Amsoil and has recommended it for my new blower. He says that it mixes 100:1. Is this product safe for my new blower?
    Details:

I have several friends that use Amsoil in their 2 stroke yard machines.  Is there not anyone that can say yea or nea on this product in a Husky blower?  I have a brand new machine and do not want to void the warranty...Help please.

Since this has been so long I will only assume that no one has any experience with Amsoil product in 2 cycle engines.

    Thanks,

    Question:
I have a Husqvarna 145BT blackpack blower and have problems with the fuel cap. I don't tighten the cap very tight just tight enough to keep it from leaking and something cuts the rubber gaskets. I have sanded the tank section that touches the gasket but this did not help. I have tried all types of caps but it still cuts the rubber gasket. Does anyone have any suggestions?

General Product Question posted May 7, 2012 by lothian mcadam
    Question:
Rather than spend more than 10 mins troubleshooting problematic a blower--or any troublesome equipment--why not simply return to the unit to the place of purchase for exchange or refund?
    Details:

We've all seen the card inside the box from the manufacturer that emphatically recommends that if you have problems with their product, "DO NOT RETURN TO STORE". If you actually follow that advice, you will likely endure several minutes on hold with a product customer service rep who will ultimately avail you with the contact information for a service center for repair.

Posting to this--and other--forums is bogus and fruitless. My policy--and my recommendation--is return any unit that does not perform as expected to a store that sells that model and exchange it for a new product. If the store balks at exchanging the unit, purchase a new one, switch out the new unit for the old and repackage it, then return it to the store.

This method works, and results in a functional device with the minimal amount of wasted time.
