    Tom,

Thanks for your question. the 350 saw uses a .325- .50 gauge sprocket. The biggest bar I would recommend for that saw would be a 20 inch bar and chain. the smallest would be a 16 inch bar and chain

the numbers for the 20 inch bar is 508926180 the chain 501840680. The numbers for the 16 inch bar is 508926166 the chain 501840666. Thanks and have a great day.

     Hi Ron

Thank you for using the Answer Army to post your questions.

We do not offer covers for the Z-turn mowers. I would check with Northern Tool or Fastenal Company, they should be able to fit an acceptable cover for your mower.

Thank you for contacting the Husqvarna/Weed Eater Answer Army site.

The need to keep the choke partially closed to get the unit to run indicates either of 3 probable causes:

First would just be that the carburetor is simply not flowing adequate fuel

Second would be low compression of the engine - should not be below 100 PSI cold for good operation

Third would be an uncorrected air leak (crankshaft seal, for instance) which lets air into the engine other than what is going thru the carb to pick up fuel.

If you are unable to resolve the condition, you may want to have an authorized Poulan/Weed eater service dealer do an evaluation of the unit for the cause of the lack of fuel condition.

    Hi Kevin

Thanks for contacting the Answer Army to post your questions.

First, check that the transmission drive belt is still in place on all pulleys, and that the idler pulley(s) rotate to tighten the belt when the clutch pedal is let up. There is a spring to the idler pulley plate which pulls those parts into engagement.

If the drive system and belt appear OK, start the engine and run just above idle speed; slowly let the brake pedal up - if the engine slows due to a load developing from the drive engaging, but the unit still will not move, inspect the brake mechanism control rod/linkage to see if the brakes are releasing.

If the above do not help in resolving the condition, we can only siggest you contact an area Husqvarna Service Dealer and ask is help in finding the cause of the condition.

Thanks again from the Husqvarna Technical Services Team.

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for using the Answer Army.

Most chain problems are caused by one of three things.

    A) Incorrect chain tension. A properly tensioned chain should be loose enough that you can move it by hand but also tight enough that it doesn't sag down any. Keep in mind that a new chain will stretch so keep a closer eye on the chain tension when you're  working with a brand new chain as this is normal. Also, just be mindful of what you're cutting. Small twigs and underbrush can become lodged between the chain and the sprocket and that will kick the chain off.

    B) Incorrect filing, but I don't believe this is your problem.

    C) Lack of lubrication. I understand that your oil reservoir is full but check to see if the machine is actually using the oil by aiming the bar and chain at a stump and squeeze the throttle. You should have a line of oil on the stump.

    1) Adjustable oil pumps: Chainsaws with adjustable oil pumps lubricate anytime the chain is running (shuts off when brake is activated). If you let the saw sit for 10 minutes after use and clean off the bar, there should not be a excessive amount of oil present afterwards. If you detect excessive oiling, your unit will require evaluation at a authorized Husqvarna dealer. To set a adjustable oil pump, please turn the oil adjuster screw all the way to the left (counter clockwise) for setting position 3 (highest setting). Turn the adjustment screw all the way to the right (clockwise) for position 1 (lowest setting). To locate position 2, find the point that is between position 1 and 3.

    2) Non-adjustable oil pumps: Chainsaws with non-adjustable oil pumps lubricate full time (even when the brake is activated). There are no settings with this type of oil pump but I recommend cleaning the bar and chain after each use and before you store your product to prevent oil spills. The oil pump should not be a issue when the saw engine is not running.

Thanks again for using the Answer Army.

    Dear Consumer,

I recommend checking the conditions listed below to locate the possible causes of the deck belt issues that you are experiencing at this time:

    A. Deck leveling:
I recommend following the deck leveling instructions listed in your product owners manual to insure correct deck operation. If you cannot locate the publication for your tractor, please visit : /images/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/

    B. Pulley and belt  inspection:
Check all of the associate tensioners, pulleys and belts for wear and damage which could also cause a belt to slip off the pulleys.

    C. Generic belts:
It is very important to only use OEM Husqvarna belts for the deck to run correctly. Husqvarna OEM belts are designed specifically for the length, travel, load and pulley design on our power equipment. This means that the width, shape, depth of the V, and the material composition are all designed specifically for our products.

    D. Debris conflicting with deck operation:
Check for any foreign objects that could interfere with the operation of the deck.

If you check all of the conditions listed above and the deck belt will not stay on the pulleys, I recommend visiting: /images/us/homeowner/dealers/dealer-locator/ for your nearest Husqvarna Retail Service center.

    We apologize for any inconveniences.

    Sincerely,

    Consumer Support Representative

    Hi Mark,

Thank you for contacting Husqvarna. What has probably happened according to your story is that the saw has probably sat around with last years gas. While you may have changed it out, the carburetor itself has been affected by this and you will need to get your saw to an authorized dealer. The carburetor will need to be cleaned, adjusted and possibly replaced. I'm sure they can take a look at your pull start while it is there. As far as the carburetor adjusting tools these are only available to authorized service centers. EPA mandates prevent this tool from being sold to the direct public. There are heavy fines for anyone caught using these tools or adjusting carburetors.

"Carburetor adjustments with tamper resistant screws or limiter caps must be conducted by Authorized Emission Certified Servicing Dealers ONLY. The dealer must supply the unit to the customer in the original configuration, using manufacturer’s carburetor adjustment procedure, which includes having if equipped the limiter caps in place before the unit is put into service. Knowingly removing or rendering inoperative a device, element, or design installed on or in a non-road engine which is in compliance with E.P.A. or C.A.R.B. regulations is classified as TAMPERING. TAMPERING is a violation of FEDERAL LAW, resulting in significant civil penalties (fines) of up to $25,000 for each violation per day. This is the reason the tools are not sold to the public sector." Hope this helps and thank you for using our products.

    John,

Hi and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your question.

I am sorry for the inconveniences you have encountered with your machine, and not to make excuses for the service center but this time of the year most of the landscaping companies are getting ready for the change over from Summer to Fall.  They are taking their machines in to have yearly service work done to prepare for the Fall.  You can find another service center by going to our website and clicking on the dealer locator to find other that may be able to get your machine repaired quickly.

I have checked our entire system and there are not any recalls or service bullitens on your machine. If there is a problem with a particular unit we will issue a service bulletin to everyone who has registered their product with us as well as any dealers and national accounts that sell the product.

Also to get in touch with us here at the corporate office you can either email us by going through our website and click on the Husqvarna Group link then click on the contact us link, or our phone number is 1-800-487-5951 which is also listed on the website. http://corporate.husqvarna.com/?p=contact&afw_lang=en

    Laura,

Hi and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your questions.

The steering is a quick and easy fix. We have replaced the steering wheel hub with a new piece that corrects the problem. The new part number is #532437747 and any dealer/service center should be able to order it for you.

I have also contacted you directly via the email address you have listed to address this problem in further detail if needed.

Thanks again for using the Answer Army.

Hi and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your questions.

We do have a mulch kit for the Weed Eater One machine but it is an option that does not come with your unit as standard equipment. You can however order one from either an online parts store, or one of our dealer/service centers. The part number is 532 42 97 58.

Secondly it sound like the steering collar lock nut has been stripped out and just needs to be replaced with a new metal one.

And lastly I don't know if there is a tube to put in the tire to replace the valve stem. You may just need to order a new tire assembly. As far as the tire and the steering lock, both of these may be under the original warranty. You just need to get in touch with one of our authorized service centers to get the replacement parts.

The service technicians are our eyes out in the field and can recommend a fix for your problems as well as order the mulching kit for your machine.

You can get find a service center based on your address by following the link below, or you can call in to our customer support line at 1-800-487-5951

Hi Dean and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your questions.

It sounds like your doing everything correctly as per the Owner's Manual. The only thing I can offer is to make sure you are sitting completely in the seat and not leaning too far forward. There is an operator presence switch that needs to be fully depressed before the starter will engage.

If you know you are doing all of this then you may just have a dead battery.  You can either recharge your battery with a 12V 2.8amp hour battery.  Charging with any other charger or an automotive style charger can cause permanent damage to the battery.  A full 24 hours is the recommended charge time.  Also, your local servicing dealer may be able to provide you a new battery if needed.  Considering that the machine is so new I feel that it would be under warranty and should be replaced at no cost to you.

You can either follow the link below to find a service center based on your address or you can contact us directly at 1-800-487-5951

Hi and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your question.

The choke is just a simple butterfly mechanism that opens or closes the air intake of the carburetor. You can remove the air filter and make sure nothing is blocking the butterfly from moving.

You can try a simple fix by removing the fuel and the air filter and turning the machine upside down. Shake it side to side and look for anything to fall out. If its just small debris it should be OK to replace the air filter and try the choke again. If a screw or any other mechanical fastener falls out you may need to take the machine to a service center and have those guy's remove the carburetor to see if there is any damage.

If you can shake the machine and it sounds like metal moving around inside the engine DON'T TRY TO START IT. You may cause more damage to the piston and cylinder.

You can find a service center in your area by clicking on the link below.

    Gene,

Hi and thanks for using the Answer Army to post your question.

Chances are very good that the 4 months that the machine sat the gas became non-volatile. Even though you removed the old fuel, the carburetor, the fuel lines etc still have the old fuel in the system. Your best bet is to take the machine into a service center and have those guy's flush the system, and clean the carburetor.

You can find a service locator by going to www.weedeater.com and click on service locator.

I hope this helps and thanks again for using the Answer Army.
