actually there is an automatic choke (probably behind the air filter) that could be causing the problem. It did with mine. There are also a couple good you tube videos on the subject. Kirk
Thank you Eugene Rounds. I will let you know what the fix was. I am going to try and limp it through another month.
Apparently the autochoke was stuck, but also I see gas running out the bottom of the air filter. I cannot find a leak.
If it smells like gas when it shuts off and smoke/steam comes out on the right (muffler/exhaust location), would that be a sign the auto choke is stuck? If so, how do I get to it and "unstick" it? Thanks in advance
It's a Briggs & Stratton 6.25 engine, and yes I believe it is an auto choke. I guess I need to pull the engine cover to get to it. Thanks.
I always check at Lowes, Home Depot, and then Sears for most parts. You can also find a dealer in your area.
