Hi Sandra,
Thanks for using Answer Army. If you go to www.weedeater.com and click on the dealer locator tab, then put in your zip code you will be able to find a list of dealers in your area. Then they will be able to do the work that needs to be done. Thanks again for using Answer Army!
Hi Garn, thanks for using Answer Army.
When the mower stalled, it is possible that you were mowing grass too high. When it stalled it could have thrown the belt off the pulley. If this is the case then you will need to remove the top cover to see. If the belt is off then just reinstall the belt and then the cover. If you do not feel comfortable doing this, please contact you local dealer by gong to www.weedeater.com for a dealer in your area. Again thank you for using Answer Army.
Hi Cody, thanks for using Answer Army. In order to get the clutch drum off you will need a T-25 torx bit at least 3" long. It is regular threads, so unscrew to the left. Then you will be able to remove the clutch. As far as the problems with the website, I can't say what went wrong there. Again thanks for using Answer Army.
Hi thanks for using Answer Army. Sounds liks the chain tensioner may be bent. I recommend letting a dealer check it out. Go to www.poulanpro.com to find a dealer near you. Again thanks for using Answer Army.
Tommy, thanks for contacting Answer Army! This unit has not been set up in such a long time. It will probably need the carburettor to be cleaned and rebuilt. Just because the carburettor is getting fuel does not necessarily mean it is getting through the carburettor. Also there may be a compression problem, such as, a stuck ring. But I would start with the carburettor and check the other areas if you continue to experience difficulty. Again, thank you for contacting us at Answer Army.
Thanks for contacting Answer Army. Unfortunately, you can not take the end of the shaft apart to remove any broken pieces. One solution would be to replace both the flex shaft and the drive shaft. This is because they are sold as separate parts. Another solution would be to possibly replace the unit depending on the age of the unit and the cost. Thank you again for using Answer Army.
Hi Con,
Thanks for contacting Answer Army. Unfortunately, if the new fuel cap will not solve the problem then the tank and cap may need to be replaced. Poulan Pro chainsaws have a 2-year warranty for parts and labor, when used for household purposes. It sounds like your local dealer may have a couple of the saws with the same issue and we would recommend them contacting us. So let your local servicing dealer check the saw for the date of manufacture to see if its covered under warranty. Then they can contact our Technical Team for further assistance. Again, thank you for using Answer Army.
Hi Rusty, thanks for using Answer Army. If the unit ran for 15 minutes and then died and won't restart, it may have a electrical problem, such as coil, stop switch, or bad plug. I recommend letting your dealer look at it. Go to www.poulan.com to find a dealer in your area. Thanks again for using Answer Army.
Hi Joe, thanks for using Answer Army. It sounds like you may need a carb adjustment. Your dealer will have the special carb adjusting tools. With emissions standards this should be done by a dealer. Go to www.weedeater.com to find a dealer in your area. Again thanks for using Answer Army.
Hi James, thanks for using Answer Army. I would recommend taking it to your dealer. You may have a battery that won't hold a charge. Your dealer will be able to check and test your battery, and put it under load. They will also take care of the warranty claim. Again thanks for using Answer Army.
Hi Larry, thanks for using Answer Army. Yes, it's ok to use STA-BIL in a two-stroke. It preserves the fuel, helps remove moisture. Husqvarna black bottle, and XP 2 stroke oils have some stabilizer in them. Be sure to shake your container before each use. Again thanks for using Answer Army.

Hi Shotze, thanks for using Answer Army. Yes its hard to see the fuel level in the tank. I recommend try using fuel stabilizer in your fuel. This will give a tint to the fuel. Pre mix in your container as the directions state. Using stabilizer will do other things other than tint the fuel. It will help keep carb clean, and takes moisture out of the fuel. Again thanks for using Answer Army.
Hello, and thanks for contacting Answer Army. The starter on this unit has a spring in the recoil assembly that appears to be stuck or prematurely worn. However, there could be other problems as well. I would let a dealer check it out, and see what the problem is. Go to www.poulan.com to find a list of dealers in your area. I hope this helps and thanks again for using Answer Army.
Hi John, Thanks for using Answer Army. Your tractor is equipped with a service reminder hour meter. Service reminder shows the total number of hours the engine has run and flashes to indicate that the engine or mower needs servicing. When service is required, the service reminder will flash for two hours. See maintenance section of operators manual to service engine and mower. NOTE: Service reminder runs when the ignition key is in any position but stop. For accurate reading, be sure key remains in the stop position when engine is not running. Thanks again for using Answer Army.
