Service & Maintenance Question posted April 24, 2016 by Rick Brown
    Question:
I have a LC221A AWD lawn mower and I have found that grass is going into the front and rear drive areas. I can't get this grass out w/o removing the front cover and reaching into the back area. The problem is I can't remove the front cover completely because one of the bolts is under the front wheel drive gears. The back bolts are at least easier to get to.

Is there a solution for preventing grass from going into these areas? I don't know why you don't have a cover over the drive area under the blade.

I sure can't recommend this law mower to anyone when it has this problem.

    Question:
4-year old HU600L walk behind mower. Putting in new transmission. Parts list calls for 434564 but mfr/dealer parts info says replacement part is now 589600601 which was shipped. Installing the transmission requires a lot of work. And after all that, the new part does not work within this machine - in order to mount so belt drive from engine/blade drive is level, the transmission can not be pulled by the drive cable - this gear box has design with large flange which prohibits installation or movement by hitting the steel bottom of mower. Something is nuts! The shafts on the transmission are two lengths - the short length shaft goes to left side (from behind.)At least it should - it can't be installed that way.
The old tran case is markedly different. I need the old design.
    Details:

All the U.S. suppliers of parts and all the exploded view parts diagrams/list show the old transmission but the ordering system forces the replacement "universal" part - which IS NOT universal.

    Question:
I have a LC 221 A mower. The self propel drive doesn't engage correctly. I saw on another model that the cable has an adjuster near the top. Mine has no adjustment there, just a plastic end. Is there an adjustment at the blade end or do I just need to get a new belt? Also will the cable with the adjuster fit on my mower?

Service & Maintenance Question posted September 2, 2018 by John Brooks
    Question:
Recently I purchased a new Husqvarna AWD walk-behind mower. The mower is equipped with dual drive control levers. I used the mower the mower 5 or 6 times with no issues, but yesterday when I was using the mower, the right-side lever began to feel loose and after approximately 20 minutes stopped working completely. Now when the right side control lever is depressed it goes straight to the control handle with no resistance and the drive wheels do not engage/turn.

How do I repair the malfunction?

    Question:
I just purchased a all wheel 21inch walk behind. My problem is the underside is left open and when you mow all of the grass clippings goes in to the pulley system and stops the belts and the mower stops. I then have wash the drive system. Why is there not a shield covering this opening?

    Question:
I did NOT want a god *** Account. 44 miles to the Library to get to acomputer - and waste 20 minutes of my 45min limit getting here.

221 walk behind mower. The *** handle is way too low. I need to raise it a foot or more - have already hurt my back because of its low height. Dealer is worthless as *** on a boar - said check with Husqvarna = and I get THIS CRAP - an hour drive and then the *** computer ***

    Question:
Has anyone noticed bent wheel adjuster assemblies on model HU700F front wheel drive push mowers?
    Details:

I noticed the left drive wheel was not moving. I adjusted the drive cable with negative results.

I removed the drive wheels and noticed uneven wear to the plastic gear teeth.  The outside of the gear teeth were very worn but the inside of the gear teeth showed no wear.

I then noticed that the wheel adjustment assemblies were bent.  Both of them.  The post that support the wheel was bent in toward the pinion enough to cause the uneven wear.

    Question:
I have a LC 221ah 4 wheel drive walk behind mower. When I disengage the self-propel, the front wheels appear to stay locked and will not spin backward. If I push the mower forward a few inches manually, they disengage and the mower will roll backward.
Is there a serviceable part I can address to correct this?

    Question:
I have a husqvarna riding mower. 23 horse . I stopped tractor and put on brake to remove a ball from yard. Now the tractor won’t move forwards or backwards. And it not the transmission rod on the back, I’m aware of that. The bungee for the battery had fallen off, is there something that was dislodged or what. It runs and starts fine. Pto works, just won’t move. Also I can push it with that rod pushed in, when usually it won’t push unless pulled out:
